Christmas Tree Farms
Holiday Tasting and Madrigal Performance
This Sunday there will be a holiday tasting at Whole Foods Market in Hinsdale. You can sample their holiday menu in each department from noon to 3pm for free. There will also be special holiday music by the Hinsdale Central High School’s Madrigal Singers. Under the direction of Jennifer Burkemper, HCHS’s highly select vocal a cappella ensemble performs in the fall and winter throughout the community. This is an amazing concert so don’t miss our local talent starting at noon!

Western Springs Christmas Walk
It's a special celebration during the Western Springs Christmas Walk because it is the last festivity planned for the Village's 125 year (quasquicentennial) anniversary. The walk is this Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 2-5pm.
Here's a list of the festivities:
- Tell Santa your wishes at Heartland Bank (4456 Wolf Road)
- Carriage Rides at the Community Bank of Western Springs (Hillgrove and Grand)
- Decorate a Cookie from Kirschbaum's at Mécénat
- Exclusive exhibits at the Western Springs Historical Society Museum
- The train at Thomas Ford Memorial Library turns into the Holiday Express
- Festive music on the Tower Green
- Entertainment surprises by the Theatre of Western Springs
- Musical performances by church and school choirs throughout
Here are the special treats, deals and holiday fun:
- Community Bank of Western Springs: hot chocolate, cookie, candy canes
- Village True Value Hardware: popcorn and hot chocolate
- Harris Bank: hot chocolate, goody bags, picture with Hubert

La Grange Hometown Holiday
This Saturday, December 3, 2011 from 5-9pm La Grange is having their "Hometown Holiday," which is their 20th annual holiday walk.
The merchants, restaurants and businesses keep their doors open late to warm you with festive open houses and special promotions. There will be musicians, entertainment, s'mores and a bonfire, trolley rides, petting zoo and pony rides, kiddie train rides and ice sculptures

5:30, Santa arrives by firetruck; tree lighting

LaGrange Park Holiday Walk and Tree Lighting
