Safety Villages

In general Safety Villages are miniature towns that mimic real life so children can learn about traffic rules, fire safety, railroad crossings in a safe environment. I'm sure every location is a little different, but it's usually a class where the kids attend for several days to cover all the topics. There are both outdoor hands on activities and indoor movies and discussions. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn about safety in a fun way!

The registration for all of the following Safety Villages is in April, so look up the one you are interested in and the put the registration date on your calendar. After talking with the coordinators I learned that the classes fill up immediately and in some cases parents have to wait in line to register and hope to get a spot!
