A Day In Our Village

A Day In Our Village is Oak Park's annual festival where businesses, organizations, and community groups gather to share resources, meet people, support the community and enjoy special activities.

  • More than 150 activity booths will fill Scoville Park (Lake Street at Oak Park Avenue) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Among the various activities will be history games, aikido demonstrations, plant-your-own vegetable or flower to take home, art activities, coloring activities for kids and displays of Police and Fire department vehicle technology. The essential face painting and balloons will be there, too. Local entertainers on the Scoville Park stage will perform a mix of popular music, stage and show reviews.
  • Food court featuring local restaurants will be on the Oak Park Library plaza adjacent to Scoville Park selling meals, snacks and beer in a picnic setting.
  • Rehm Park & Pool (Garfield Street at East Avenue) will offer a range of activities from 1 – 6 p.m., including swimming for $4 per person until 4 p.m.; tennis lessons until 4 p.m.; old fashioned carnival games; Finding Nemo inflatable experience; Mutiny on the Bouncer inflatable pirate ship; Wind Jammer amusement park ride; musical entertainment; and balloon artist David Lyons.
