Giveaway: Santa’s Village AZoosment Park Grand Opening

Santa's Village is re-opening May 27, 2011! The family owned park has been renovated and now combines an amusement park with a zoo (hence, "azoosment"). They even were able to acquire rides from Kiddleland! So it will definitely create some nostalgia for Chicagoans.

Mother's Day Doll Tea Party

Outdoor Swimming Pools

There are many beautiful and fun pools around here! Most of them require you to be a member or a guest of a member, but there are a few that you can pay as you go. Sometimes there are even membership discounts if you join before a certain date, so check them out early! I have also listed the country clubs if you are interested.

Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile

The Western Springs Historical Society and The Children's Theatre of Western Spring present Lyle The Crocodile! We love that book at our house... it's very entertaining. They are doing a theatrical performance based on the books Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile and The House on East 88th Street by Bernard Waber.

National Train Day

National Train Day is May 7 and it's Amtrak's 40th anniversary this year! There are a lot of free events going on at Union Station...

Lunch N Tumble

You can run errands or schedule a lunch date while your kids are having a blast at Flying High. On Wednesday, April 6 or Thursday, April 7 from 11am-1:30pm children ages 4-6 can enjoy open gym, a 40 minute gymnastics lesson, story time, art project and lunch! Tates makes their own delicious ice cream and has put together a calendar full of dates and times for "Craft & Scoop."
